Autel MX-Sensor 2-in-1 TPMS Rubber Stem
The Autel MX-Sensor 2-in-1 is a universal programmable tire-pressure monitoring sensor designed to replace compatible original TPMS sensors. It combines both 315MHz and 433MHz frequencies in one sensor, helping workshops reduce the number of different TPMS sensors they need to keep in stock.
This version includes a durable press-in rubber valve stem suitable for many passenger cars and light vehicles. The sensor must be programmed using a compatible Autel TPMS programming tool before installation.
Main Features
- Dual-frequency 315MHz and 433MHz operation
- Universal programmable TPMS replacement sensor
- Press-in rubber valve stem
- Supports a wide range of compatible vehicles
- Programmable using compatible Autel TPMS tools
- Can copy a supported original sensor ID
- Can generate a new sensor ID when required
- Compact and lightweight sensor design
- Suitable for professional tire shops and automotive workshops
- Helps reduce TPMS sensor inventory requirements
- Replaceable valve-stem design
- Designed for reliable tire-pressure and temperature monitoring
Compatible Autel Tools
The sensor can be programmed using compatible Autel TPMS tools, including selected models such as:
- Autel MaxiTPMS TS408S
- Autel MaxiTPMS TS501
- Autel MaxiTPMS TS508
- Autel MaxiTPMS TS508WF
- Autel MaxiTPMS TS601
- Autel MaxiTPMS TS608
- Autel MaxiTPMS ITS600
- Autel MaxiCOM MK906 Pro-TS
- Autel MaxiSYS MS906 Pro-TS
- Other compatible Autel TPMS programming tools
Tool compatibility may depend on the installed software version. Update the Autel device before programming newer vehicle applications.
Programming Options
Depending on the Autel tool and vehicle, the MX-Sensor may support several programming methods:
Copy the Original Sensor ID
The ID can be copied from a working original sensor and written to the new Autel MX-Sensor. When the original ID is cloned correctly, some vehicles may recognize the replacement without an additional relearn procedure.
Copy by OBD
A compatible Autel TPMS tool may read the registered sensor IDs from the vehicle through the OBD port and program them into the replacement sensors.
Auto-Create a New ID
The Autel tool can generate and program a new unique sensor ID. A TPMS relearn procedure will normally be required to register the new ID with the vehicle.
Manual ID Input
If the original sensor ID is available, it may be entered manually into a compatible Autel TPMS tool and written to the MX-Sensor.
Available programming methods vary according to the Autel tool, vehicle and software version.
Programming and Relearn Notice
The Autel MX-Sensor 2-in-1 is supplied blank and must be programmed before use. It is not automatically configured for a particular vehicle.
Programming writes the correct protocol and sensor ID into the MX-Sensor. Relearning registers that sensor ID with the vehicle. These are two different procedures.
Depending on the vehicle, relearning may be completed through:
- Automatic relearn after driving
- Stationary manual procedure
- OBD relearn using a compatible TPMS tool
Always follow the relearn procedure specified for the exact vehicle model and production year.
Vehicle Compatibility
Autel lists the MX-Sensor 1-Sensor as covering up to 99.7% of compatible vehicle TPMS applications. However, compatibility must still be confirmed using:
- Vehicle manufacturer
- Vehicle model
- Production year
- Original TPMS frequency
- Original sensor part number
- Autel tool vehicle-coverage menu
Universal coverage does not mean that every vehicle is supported.
Rubber Press-In Valve Stem
This model uses a press-in rubber valve stem designed for quick installation on compatible wheels. The valve stem and sealing components should be inspected whenever the tire is removed or serviced.
Installation and tightening must be performed by a qualified tire technician. Always check for air leakage after installation.
Installation Procedure
- Confirm vehicle compatibility and required TPMS frequency.
- Read or record the original sensor ID when possible.
- Program the MX-Sensor using a compatible Autel TPMS tool.
- Remove the tire from the wheel using suitable equipment.
- Install the sensor and rubber valve stem correctly.
- Inflate the tire to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
- Perform the required TPMS relearn procedure.
- Activate and test the sensor before returning the vehicle to service.
Package Contents
- 1 × Autel MX-Sensor 2-in-1 TPMS sensor
- 1 × Press-in rubber valve stem
The Autel TPMS programming tool is not included.
Important Information
This product is a programmable replacement TPMS sensor and cannot be used correctly until it has been programmed for a supported vehicle.
Autel TPMS tools can program Autel MX-Sensors. They generally activate and read many original sensors, but sensor programming is specifically intended for compatible Autel MX-Sensors.
Confirm compatibility before installation because opened, programmed or installed TPMS sensors may not be returnable.
