AUTOOL AS503 Oil Tester
The AUTOOL AS503 Oil Tester is designed to provide a fast and convenient indication of engine-oil condition. Gasoline and Diesel Testing Modes
The tester includes dedicated modes for gasoline and diesel engine oils. Selecting the correct mode is important because the appearance and optical characteristics of used diesel oil can differ significantly from those of gasoline engine oil.

How to Use
- Switch off the engine and allow the engine oil to cool.
- Confirm that the oil temperature is below 60°C before testing.
- Select the correct gasoline or diesel oil mode.
- Clean and dry the probe before inserting it into the oil.
- Follow the device instructions and wait for the result.
- Remove the probe and clean it thoroughly after testing.
Important Information
The AUTOOL AS503 provides an indicative oil-condition result based primarily on optical transmittance and temperature. It does not perform a complete laboratory oil analysis and cannot precisely determine viscosity, additive depletion, fuel dilution, coolant contamination or metal-particle concentration.
The result should be considered together with the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended oil-change interval, mileage, operating conditions and service history. Always use the correct testing mode, especially when checking diesel engine oil.
Safety Instructions
- Never test oil when its temperature exceeds 60°C.
- Switch off the engine before inserting the probe.
