Use a stable, regulated power supply suitable for ECU and TCU bench work. Verify power, ground, ignition, CAN and communication connections before applying voltage.
Always read and save a complete original backup before writing or cloning data. Verify the backup whenever the programming software provides a checksum or file-verification function.
Incorrect voltage, reversed polarity, unstable power, wrong module selection or interruption during writing can damage the transmission control module.
