AUTOOL BT360 Automotive Battery System Tester
The AUTOOL BT360 Battery Tester is designed to evaluate compatible 12V lead-acid batteries and inspect vehicle starting and charging-system performance.
It quickly displays essential battery information, including voltage, measured cold-cranking current, internal resistance, state of health and state of charge. The tester can also perform cranking and charging tests to help identify weak batteries, starter-system problems and possible alternator charging issues.

Important: On a vehicle using two 12V batteries connected in series to create a 24V system, disconnect and test each 12V battery separately. Do not connect the tester directly across a 24V system.
How to Perform a Battery Test
- Switch off the engine and all electrical accessories.
- Connect the red clamp to the positive battery terminal.
- Connect the black clamp to the negative battery terminal.
- Select the correct battery type.
- Select the battery testing standard shown on the battery label.
- Enter the battery’s rated value.
- Start the test and review the displayed results.
How to Perform a Cranking Test
- Connect the tester securely to the battery.
- Select the cranking-test function.
- Follow the instructions displayed on the tester.
- Start the engine when requested.
- Review the cranking voltage and test result.
How to Perform a Charging Test
- Connect the tester to the battery.
- Start the engine.
- Select the charging-test function.
- Increase the engine speed to approximately 2500 RPM when requested.
- Hold the engine speed for around five seconds.
- Review the charging-system result.
Safety and Testing Notes
- Confirm that the battery is a compatible 12V lead-acid type.
- Select the correct battery standard and rated value.
- Clean corrosion from the terminals before testing.
- Attach the clamps directly and securely to the battery terminals.
- Keep the tester and cables away from belts, fans and hot engine components.
- Wear suitable eye and hand protection around automotive batteries.
- Do not test damaged, leaking, swollen or frozen batteries.
- Do not connect the tester directly to a 24V battery system.
- Do not use it on high-voltage hybrid or electric-vehicle batteries.
Important Notice
The AUTOOL BT360 is a battery and electrical-system tester. It is not a battery charger and cannot recharge or repair a damaged battery.
Test results should be considered together with the battery’s age, maintenance history, terminal condition and vehicle symptoms. A professional electrical inspection may still be required if the vehicle has intermittent starting or charging problems.
